Commissioned by Roderick W. Kenaston in 1957 this home was designed by renowned architect E. Stewart Williams. With elemental Mid Century Modern features like an open plan and flow the interiors are spacious and light filled. One of Williams’ signature design features was large floor-to-ceiling windows that surrounded and offered views to a central private patio and pool area. The effect was one of a cool private oasis in the dessert – giving the home a feeling of a resort retreat. This home, located in Rancho Mirage, California, underwent a considerate renovation in 2003 and remains a stunning testament to the brilliance of the architect.

Is there a floor plan for this fabulous house? How many square feet?

So very beautiful. Very indoor-outdoor, but with a sophisticated formality that is lovely and restful. My new second favorite (after the Case Study House #28, my permanent favorite).
